Sang v Cornes (2005)
Ms Sang was injured after being struck by Corne’s vehicle as she attempted to cross the road.
Corne admitted liability for the collision but the issue of contributory negligence was discussed.
It was questioned whether Ms Sang had crossed the road at a dangerous point.
The Court held she had crossed the road at the safest point possible and therefore was exempt from contributory negligence.
Corne was deemed fully liable for the collision.
